Dr. Navya Singh, a psychologist and research scientist at Columbia University, Department of Psychiatry, started wayForward with the mission to make Mental Healthcare accessible to all, globally! She has a keen interest in global mental health, especially working with underserved populations. She has worked across three continents, including with Rwandan genocide survivors and refugees, with incarcerated mothers in the low resource neighborhoods and with severely psychiatrically ill patients in the New York metropolitan area. She received a Scholar Award in April 2015 from the American Psychological Association. Dr. Singh started wayForward in New York and then has brought it home to India, to bring awareness and mental health parity worldwide.
